Supporting The Returning
An Aboriginal and women-led charity based on Bundjalung Country in the Northern Rivers of NSW, founded by Ella Noah Bancroft.
The organisation works to strengthen Aboriginal families, women, children and communities through culture, wellness through connection to Country, healing through food system restoration, youth and cultural leadership and community care.
The Returning currently delivers 11 programs across the Northern Rivers, including mother care program, the gathering, cultural camps, youth custodial gardening program, arts and culture residencies, bushfood nursery, Language revitalisation, The Kinship Festival, Indigenous play groups, Aboriginal counselling services, Elders healing retreats and much more.
At its heart, The Returning is about reclaiming Indigenous ways of caring for people and Country and creating stronger, self-determined futures for Aboriginal communities.
