Celebrating the achievement of crossing the milestone of donating over $400,000 and helping 38 local charities since December 2015, Cunning Stunts bring back their all vinyl affair!  Scintillating guest DJ’s join the Cunning Stunts residents to heat up the Shed at February’s Nudge Nudge Wink Wink: The Ultimate Party with a Conscience!

February’s sublime lineup includes Sydney based guest DJ Kate Monroe and locally based guest DJ Snow Monkey joining the sensational resident DJs, Lord Sut and Dale Stephen all ready to spin the platters so you can dance as if just don’t matter!

Resident DJs Lord Sut & Dale Stephen go back to their roots! They started this party as an all-vinyl affair and will be spinning sensational sounds guaranteed to titillate your senses!  Sizzling selections from balearic through to house, these stealth purveyors of dance delights cunningly heat up the shed through the day and night delivering dancers platters of wax guaranteed to ignite!

Closing the night, the superb Kate Monroe returns to the shed bringing a vinyl-only set for her second visit. Known as the “First Lady of House”, Kate is one of Australia’s most preeminent house DJs, with over two decades of experience ruling dance floors around the world. Her passion for house music especially the vocal and the deep is legendary and her sets across every major club in Australia have made her an icon of the Australian House scene, playing headliner gigs in nearly every club in her home country. She blew the roof off at her last visit and we can’t wait to get the fever in our feet and sun in our souls this summer!

Making his shed debut, locally based DJ Snow Monkey will be spinning wax instead of ice, delivering us heat with a bit of spice!  He was born in the ice pools of Yamanouchi and has always loved house music. From an early age he spun discs of ice, adorning snowballs for headphones. When he grew old enough to travel he set up home in England where his vinyl collection built. Following numerous DJ gigs around London including his residency at Ministry of Sound he packed up his frozen backpack and moved to Australia where his DJ career took off. Playing venues up and down the east coast, he now resides in Crabbes Creek where there aren’t any ice pools but there are plenty of ice-cold esky’s to dive into. Come and dip into the pool of sounds the Snow Monkey will select this February – we can’t wait!

Nudge Nudge Wink Wink is more than a party; it’s a FUNdraiser providing essential connection, charitable support, and warming of spirit for all who attend. Once you’ve given it a nudge, you’ll have to return. Wink Wink!

For the January and February 2024 events, they are donating to the important funding needed for Pottsville Beach Neighbourhood Centre (PBNC) to continue to provide services and support with a focus on the needs of those in our Northern Rivers communities that are socially and economically disadvantaged.

Pottsville Beach Neighbourhood Centre has seen a significant shift in what people are requesting help with. Their Assisted Referral and Material Aid service increased by 150% in the last several years and they have given over $90,000 of material aid in the last year alone.  The primary reasons given for accessing the service have changed, from housing issues to financial stress that is subsequently affecting peoples physical and mental health. Whereas previously the focus was around sustainable accommodation, now it is about not having food to feed the kids. People living in cars do not have fuel to move around which helps keep them safe. Others can’t afford to drive to work or go to essential appointment’s such as employment provider meetings that are mandatory to attend if you are on a Centrelink payment. People are being cut off these minimal payments who are then left with absolutely nothing to live on. PBNC are seeing people who had never previously had to use their service who are having to decide to either buy fuel or eat.

You now have the option to donate in addition to purchasing an event ticket, which also helps provide further support to this vital service. Through doing this, you become an integral part of the movement that uplifts, supports, and empowers those who need it most.
