Eleven Seasons In… Still Dancing, Still Giving Back

Nudge Nudge Wink Wink returns! Season 11 launches in The Shed at the Billinudgel Hotel on Saturday 5th September, bringing another unforgettable night of music, dancing, connection and community spirit to the Northern Rivers.

Since 2015, Cunning Stunts has donated more than $460,352 to 42 local charities, continuing its long-standing ethos as a true “party with a conscience.”

As Nudge Nudge Wink Wink embarks on Season 11, that journey has received a very special honour – an official Community Recognition Statement from the Parliament of NSW, recognising Cunning Stunts, Nudge Nudge Wink Wink and its extraordinary community. Member for Ballina Tamara Smith MP described Nudge as a “cornerstone of community life in the Northern Rivers”, celebrating its connection, music and commitment to making a difference.

September’s Line-Up

Season 11 kicks off with a killer mix of returning Nudge favourites and fresh talent, ready to light up the night.

DJ Iain Ha Yes is a renowned DJ and producer with more than 1,000 gigs across Europe and Australia behind him. He’s shared stages with the likes of Groove Armada, Marcellus Pittman and BLOND:ISH, and appeared at festivals including Earth Frequency, Falls Festival and Splendour in the Grass. With deep musical knowledge and an instinct for the dancefloor, Iain moves effortlessly across genres, with a love of leftfield sounds, high-energy machine funk and plenty of surprises along the way. A Nudge favourite, we’re thrilled to have him back to close the night.

DJ Sahaja RIA (formerly R.I.A) returns to the beloved Shed with more than two decades of experience shaping dancefloors across Australia and New Zealand. Intuitive, eclectic and guided as much by feeling as genre, her sets weave soulful vocals, bass-heavy grooves and organic rhythms through Afro, tribal, nu-global, house, disco and funk. A devoted music lover and curator with an instinct for reading the room, Sahaja creates sets that invite connection, freedom and movement. We can’t wait!

Making her Shed debut, DJ Lauren Sly brings a deep reverence for music and movement and an intuitive feel for finding the right sounds for the right moment. As co-founder of Murwillumbah’s much-loved Lab Leaked Beats, Lauren spent three years building community through deep, progressive music. Her sets are thoughtful where it counts, playful where it matters and always in the name of a good time.

Cunning Stunts resident DJ Lord Sut completes the line-up with his eclectic blend of Balearic sounds, dub, soul, funk, cosmic grooves, leftfield disco and house – a genre-roaming style that has helped shape the Nudge sound since the beginning. Fellow co-founder and resident DJ Dale Stephen is unable to join us for the Season 11 opener but sends his love to the Nudge community and looks forward to being back in The Shed soon.

The Hoodlum Ballet returns to tantalise and entertain with its signature mix of movement, playfulness and a little mischief. This fierce, eclectic crew takes to the band stage and roams throughout the evening, bringing plenty of sass, surprise and magic wherever they appear.

Dancing to make a difference: Proceeds from the September and October events will support The Returning, an Aboriginal and women-led charity founded by Ella Noah Bancroft on Bundjalung Country in the Northern Rivers. The Returning works to strengthen Aboriginal families, women, children and communities through culture, connection to Country, healing, food-system restoration, youth and cultural leadership and community care. At its heart, its work is about reclaiming Indigenous ways of caring for people and Country and creating stronger, culturally connected and self-determined futures for Aboriginal communities. We are honoured to  support this important work.
