CURIOUS– Experience this innovative night presented by Cunning Stunts at The Billinudgel Hotel. Springing into the new season launching another of their proven brand experiences into the infamous Shed!

CURIOUS is where you can expect the unexpected and experience Cosmic Osmosis.  A melting pot of electronic stew, global grooves, dubby disco, and heart-opening house.  A Saturday evening service – each 1st Saturday of the month, allows for dancers and conscious party people to unite and celebrate monthly. Bringing the same all-inclusive vibe, CURIOUS offers a variety of DJs and Live Musicians playing together for higher vibrations and feeding happiness into your soul. =

On the 7^thSeptember, these DJ’s will be opening the new season of CURIOUS, playing epic sets with live guest musicians – DJ Abel El’Toro with Katia Demeester (vocals), DJ Vinyl Junkie, DJ Dale Stephen with Dave Wray (saxophone) and DJ Lord Sut.

DJ Abel El’Toro with Katia Demeester (vocals)

DJ Abel El’torohas been synonymous with the electronic music scene in Australia from the start. He headlined the first ever Nudge Nudge Wink WInkand kicked off season 3. Most recently playing a string of gigs in Byron Bay, Gold Coast and Brisbane alongside local and international acts, folks are still talking about Toro’s last performances at Splendour in the Grass where he fired up the crowd and left them wanting more.  He has played alongside The Chemical Brothers and Primal Scream. As a music producer remixer, his credits include Sophie Monk (Sydney), Olli Wisdom (Space Tribe), Funk D’Void (UK) and Paul Mac (Sydney).

Joining Abel at Curious Sat 7 Sep on live vocals is Katia Demeester.  Katia, multi-dimensional songstress and enchantress of creativity and expression. Katia weaves magic within the tapestry of words and music in the intention to empower, inspire and powerfully reinforce deeper connection. Her lauded credits include many genres, acts, bands, and festivals.

DJ Lord Sut

Lord Sut is the founder of Cunning Stunts and the weekly radio show Solar Love Machine on BAY FM.  As a resident of CURIOUS, Lord Sut’s sets are always full of the unexpected and keep the dancers wanting more! He has been collecting records & delighting music lovers across the globe for decades, playing clubs, festivals, parties, bars, on the airwaves and even on a championship snowboard pipe. With a varied and deep musical taste, Sut knows how to gratify and satisfy with an effortless blend of chill, dub, soul, funk, electronic, cosmic, leftfield, disco, indie and house. If you want one word it’s Balearic. If you need two, add eclectic.

DJ Dale Stephen

DJ Dale Stephen is a respected DJ with over 20 years international experience holding residencies, creating and delivering edits & releases and delivering delicious sets consisting of Deep Disco, Nu Funk and dubbed-out-Disco-House interspersed with his own lauded edits and original tracks.  He’s currently a co-pilot of Solar Love Machine on BAY FM, the co-founder of Cunning Stunts and a resident of CURIOUS. Known as an Australian DJ, producer, musician, promoter, and electronic music enthusiast, what people might not know is that Dale and Dave Wray have played together professionally as musicians for over 30 years!  We can’t wait to see what CURIOUS brings as they reunite!!!

Dave Wray (sax) is a gifted and in demand Saxophone player, who is also known as Frank Bennett an Australian jazz singer, musician and songwriter, whose vocal style is influenced by those two singers and the music of the 1940s and 1950s. His version of “Creep” was listed in the Triple J Hottest 100, 1996. He has received multiple nominations at the ARIA Music Awards.  He plays a mean Sax and will be collaborating at CURIOUS with Dale and others during the night.  =

DJ Vinyl Junkie

Locally based, national record dealer the Vinyl Junkie is a master spinner with one of the most enviable record collections around.  He has played locally and internationally to high acclaim and we are thrilled to have him back in the Shed.  His sets are always captivating, contagious and consistent in pleasing both dancers and listeners alike – don’t miss out as it’s rare to see him spin these days!
